If you are not lucky enough to have a private driver in Abuja driving a reasonably boring Ford or Hyundai, you can get around with a Tuk Tuk - which in Nigeria is called Keke!! They light up everywhere in the landscape and even more so when there is a fine Nigerian couple wearing a brilliant ankara outfit. Sometimes, however, it is with a belt and braces to get around Abuja...

After several days of searching in Abuja, we found these lovely ladies who have a large selection of good quality graphic and colorful textiles. We buy textiles in Africa, right now in Abuja, and luckily we can write together with the women here and order what we want. It gives a good gut feeling that we know who we are dealing with and that we are supporting these women through direct purchases with them. Read more here
